Wild Life (1971) is the debut album from Wings, the band Paul McCartney formed with Linda McCartney, Denny Laine, and Denny Seiwell following the end of The Beatles. Recorded in just two weeks and almost entirely live in the studio, following the spontaneous spirit of Bob Dylan's sessions, the album favors rawness and freedom over polish: from the opening jam Mumbo to the lightness of Bip Bop, the environmental protest of the title track, and the moving Dear Friend, dedicated to John Lennon. Over the years, it has been re-evaluated as an intimate and courageous portrait of a freer McCartney. 2026 reissue of the Paul McCartney Archive Collection, remastered at Abbey Road Studios.
