Dopamine Chamber (2026) is the fifth studio album from Fontaines D.C. and their first work since Romance (2024), the record that took the Dublin quintet from critical cult status to the big leagues: number 2 in the UK with platinum certification, their first entry on the Billboard 200, two Grammy nominations, and the award for International Group of the Year at the 2025 BRIT Awards. Produced by James Ford and recorded between London, the English countryside, and Palermo, the album marks a decisive turn: the band moves away from the guitar-driven language of their early records to enter a colder, stranger, and more synthetic territory, of powerful ballads and anthemic melodies emerging from the mist. The title stems from the idea of the record as a room that the listener enters: “the album itself is a dopamine chamber,” explains Grian Chatten, “you walk in and we test on you different pieces of music that alter your mind or your mood.” Preceded by the single Marianne, with a music video directed by Dave Meyers.
