Dopamine Chamber (2026) is the fifth studio album from Fontaines D.C. and their first work since Romance (2024), the record that took the Dublin quintet from critical cult status to the big leagues: number 2 in the UK with platinum certification, their first entry on the Billboard 200, two Grammy nominations, and the International Group of the Year award at the 2025 BRIT Awards. Produced by James Ford and recorded between London, the English countryside, and Palermo, the album marks a decisive turn: the band moves away from the guitar-driven language of their earlier records to delve into colder, stranger, and more synthetic territory, featuring powerful ballads and anthemic melodies that emerge through the mist. The title stems from the idea of the album as a room that the listener enters: “the album itself is a dopamine chamber,” explains Grian Chatten, “you go in and we try out different mind- or mood-altering pieces of music on you.” Led by the single Marianne, with a video directed by Dave Meyers.
