Fifteen years later, Making Mirrors still works as the weird record that became a global phenomenon almost by accident. Wally De Backer put it together in his parents' barn in Victoria, sampling old vinyl records, xylophones, and a repaired Kawai organ, and from there came 'Somebody That I Used to Know' with Kimbra, which won two Grammys and topped charts in more than twenty countries. But the album is much more than that single: 'State of the Art' and its organ possessing itself, the tenderness of 'Bronte', the plasticized soul of 'I Feel Better'. This 15th-anniversary reissue comes on double cream-colored vinyl at 33 1/3 RPM and includes the original booklet.
