Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher entered the studio in 2025 with no deadline and no distractions, following a simple premise: to find out how far two people, twelve notes, and a bass guitar plugged into a wall of sound can go. The result abandons the synth-pop flirtations of Back to the Water Below and returns to the dry riffs and brutal drums that turned the Brighton duo into an arena phenomenon.
