Released by Vinyl Passion on August 21, 2026, This Is… gathers the best early recordings of Nina Simone up to 1962, the period when the North Carolina pianist emerged as one of the most unmistakable voices in jazz and soul. Her unique phrasing, classical training, and emotional depth intersect here with blues and gospel in timeless classics such as 'My Baby Just Cares for Me', 'I Loves You, Porgy', 'Mood Indigo', and 'Wild Is the Wind'. A perfect gateway to the work of the High Priestess of Soul, pressed on 180-gram vinyl in a limited edition of mixed solid orange and white vinyl.
