Alien Metal is the twenty-eighth studio album by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, released as a surprise on August 14, 2026, through their own label, p(doom) Records. The Australians turn the steering wheel once again and deliver their most electronic record to date: eight tracks of dense synthesizers, mechanical rhythms, and cyberpunk textures that the band themselves describe as a sonic reading of a Matrix-like world, without entirely abandoning the metal weight they have carried since PetroDragonic Apocalypse. Anticipated by the singles 'Level 5', 'Alien Metal', and 'Kill For The Steel', the album is one of the most radical mutations in a discography that already thrives on mutating.
