Tacones Lejanos (High Heels) brings together the soundtrack that Ryuichi Sakamoto composed for Pedro Almodóvar's 1989 cult classic, one of his first forays into Spanish cinema. The score combines the Japanese composer's signature melancholic lyricism with bolero and melodrama, and includes Luz Casal's iconic performances of "Un año de amor" and "Piensa en mí." This reissue by Quartet Records, in collaboration with Universal Music Enterprises, Island Records, and El Deseo, is presented on 140-gram transparent red vinyl, in a limited edition of 500 copies with a gatefold cover illustrated by Juan Gatti.
